Has it really been 12 whole months since Cole was born? Yep! We had a little party this weekend with our family to celebrate the big guy's big day.
We were very excited to see how he would enjoy the cake. He has been eating lots of table food for a while, now, so we thought he would. He was a little cautious at first, but then he tasted the icing and he was off!
After about half the cake was either ingested, smeared on his face and high chair or dropped for Sophie to enjoy, we put him in the sink and hosed him off. That was not his favorite part of the day.
It has been an interesting year with Cole. He was so unhappy and colicky the first six months of his life, but he is really a sweet toddler now. If we can just keep him well (no ear infections, please!) and stop him from falling off furniture, we'll have a good start to year #2.

I can't believe he's a year old! I still look at him and remember how sick he was at first. Glad he's doing better now. He's such a cute little buzz.
His eyes are beautiful! Lynell, can you believe that we have kids that are so big now? It just seems like yesterday we were at Elon for youth conference, sharing a bathroom - and that's been almost 15 years ago!! So glad we had that weekend though and that you and David were friends in college so we could keep in touch too!
He is so adorable. Love his hair and eyes. Seems like yesterday I came to your house to hold him for the first time. Time flies.
