Cole is about 10 weeks old now and just over the last couple of weeks has started doing crazy stuff like the picture below... just looking around when we put him down for "tummy time". He loves looking around at everything, then his head comes crashing back down onto the Boppy. It is fun to see him grow and develop, but I don't remember Ashton or Ethan doing this kind of this so early on. Maybe its selective remembering, but I really think they were 3 or 4 months old.
If I kept a better journal, I would know this stuff!
Also, here is a cute picture of Ashton reading to Cole before bedtime and him the other day with his new "friends"!

Many of you know that Ashton is equal parts princess (who wants to grow up to be a mommy) and tomboy (who loves to catch frogs and look for snakes by our pond). Well, chalk up a point on the daredevil column now, as you can see her amazing rock climbing skills below. We first took her to an indoor climbing wall when she was 3 and she now scales the wall at the local REI with ease. She wants to try the harder one next time "just to see if I can do it".
I'm such a proud papa!

We had Cole's baby blessing at church the first Sunday in May and decided to take a family picture outside. He did great during the blessing (and for those of you who we have shared stories of his first 6 weeks of life being full of crying, you know that was perhaps a miracle!).
He has been a different baby since then -- staying awake longer and being happy, sleeping GREAT and just being an all-around super baby. He'll even fall asleep in his crib by himself at night now.
Say cheeeeese!
