It seems hard to believe that Cole just had his 4-month birthday. It has been a tough 4 months at times, but he is really a sweet baby. As you can see below, he smiles A LOT, he is rolling over (both back-to-front and front-to-back) and he just started eating rice cereal this week. He loves it, too! Grabs the spoon to get it in his mouth faster, then rubs his cereal hands on his face. He gets dirty and loves it.
So who do you think he looks like? Ashton or Ethan?

Some random pictures from our time in St. George. We were there for my birthday, so this first one is from the party at the park. For some reason, this picture of Ethan caught between a bite of sandwich and trying to tell me something, makes me smile.
Cole loved this little stream down the middle of the park. And by "loved" I really mean "he didn't cry for at least 30 seconds".
Ashton and Ethan riding a potbellied pig:
Uncle Thom has a really fast ATV that he let me take the kids for rides down by the river. I was afraid E would be scared, but he squealed "weeeeee" the whole time. As for Ashton, she of course had a blast. Nothing is too fast for that girl.
Dance party time at the bouncy house. Socks required.
The kids had a great time on our 2-day vacation in Vegas before we headed to St. George. Granted it was 112 degrees, but we got to hang with our good friends, the Brinkerhoffs, and see the sites on the Strip.
Here's Ashton acting like a flamingo at the Hilton Flamingo:
The kids were into some Backyardigans in the morning before we headed out to the sites:
Mom and Cole in front of the waterfall at the Mirage:
Dad and Ethan hanging out at the Rainforest Cafe at MGM:
We spent the 4th of July in St. George with Lynell's aunt and uncle. Her dad made me wear a patriotic t-shirt (I hate wearing festive things) and we camped out in a parking lot with a great view of the fireworks. They were launching them from the park and from the hill behind us, so it was a constant back-and-forth. Ethan and Ashton loved them!

We went to Las Vegas earlier this month for our summer vacation and had the privilege of flying Southwest. I'm not sure how many of you fly very often or what your airline of choice is, but we have always had very good luck with Southwest. On this trip, we were near the front of the line, so when we got on the plane, I asked the flight attendant if the kids could peek in the cockpit to see the buttons. Not only did they let them look, the First Officer invited them in to "fly the plane". He said they could turn the dials and play with the throttle, too! It was a blast!
Caution: Items stored in the overhead compartment may shift during the flight...
